Well, several weeks ago I bought a ticket to see him next Saturday, the 12th, in Coimbra, Portugal!! How odd is that?
Easy: that’s where the tour will be kicking off!!! SINGER George Michael today admitted driving while unfit through drugs and said he felt "very ashamed".
The 43-year-old told a judge he had been "very stupid" and was prepared to accept his punishment.
The former Wham! star, real name George Panayiotou, was arrested in north London last October after being found slumped at the wheel of his car.
Michael pleaded guilty at Brent Magistrates’ Court, claiming "tiredness and prescribed drugs". A second charge was dropped.
Addressing District Judge Katherine Marshall, he said: "I did something very stupid and I am very ashamed since doing it."
He added: "I really have been very distressed by this whole thing.
"I am perfectly aware that I did something very wrong and got into my car when I was unfit to drive.
"I was not in my normal physical state and I'm perfectly prepared to accept the correct punishment for that and I would have accepted it a long time ago.
"It was fairly predictable considering how much work I had done that week."
Michael will be sentenced on May 30.
The singer is due to play the first concert at the new Wembley Stadium on June 9 and will include the gig on his British and European stadium tour.
His European tour kicks off in Denmark on May 18, with the UK leg seeing him perform in London, Norwich, Manchester, Glasgow and Plymouth.

Lindsay Lohan reportedly participated in what the Britain's News of the World on Sunday called a "marathon cocaine binge" only 20 days after she left rehab. A rep for the actress had no comment on the report. The paper's story also includes what it says are screen grabs from video clips of Lohan, 20, inside the ladies room of Teddy's nightclub in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, with two friends who are also allegedly taking drugs. Julio Iglesias y Miranda Rijnsburger están de enhorabuena. La pareja ha tenido este fin de semana a su quinto hijo, un niño que nació el sábado cinco de mayo a las seis y doce minutos de la tarde en el hospital Monte Sinaí de Miami Beach, en Florida. Según el escueto comunicado publicado en la página web oficial del cantante, el bebé, que pesó 3,850 gramos y midió 53,5 centímetros, nació mediante parto natural. La información apunta además que tanto la madre como el niño se encuentran en perfecto estado de salud.
Tres niños y dos niñas.
El recién nacido se llama Guillermo, un nombre que, según explicó Miranda en exclusiva en la revista ¡HOLA! el pasado mes de febrero, eligieron porque así se llamaba el padre de la holandesa ya fallecido: “Ya tenemos decidido el nombre. Se va a llamar Guillermo, como mi padre, cuya pérdida me costó mucho superar”. Miranda comentó entonces el momento tan especial que estaba viviendo toda la familia con la llegada de este quinto hijo, el tercer niño para la pareja, junto a Miguel, de diez años, y Rodrigo, de ocho, que tiene además dos niñas gemelas, Victoria y Cristina, de seis. “Guillermo llega en un momento perfecto de nuestra vida, en el que no sólo nos hace ilusión a nosotros, sino también a nuestros hijos. El artista continuará su recorrido a partir del próximo dieciocho de mayo, un tour que le llevará, entre otros lugares, a Portugal, Suecia, Francia y España (donde llegará en agosto).

Ty Pennington Arrested for Alleged Drunken Driving
Ty Pennington, the host of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, was arrested over the weekend in Los Angeles for allegedly driving drunk, police say. Pennington, 42, was arrested at 12:35 a.m. Saturday by West Los Angeles traffic officers. He was booked at the county jail on a misdemeanor and released at 2:50 a.m. on $5,000 bail. A court date was set for June 4. "I made an error in judgment," Pennington said in a statement. "We all make mistakes; however, this is about accountability. Under no circumstances should anyone consume alcohol while driving. I could have jeopardized the lives of others and I am grateful there was no accident or harm done to anyone. This was my wake-up call." He added: "I also want to apologize to my fans, ABC Television and my design team for my lapse in judgment and the embarrassment I have caused." Pennington, a carpenter and former model, appeared on Trading Spaces on TLC for four years before hosting ABC's Emmy-winning Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. He also is a bestselling author with a promotional deal with Sears.
